-Berto was first seen directing a movie, but Crash kandicoot, starman3 and diapolo came, and asked to join. Berto accepted, but noone cooperated, and he gave up on the movie. He have a brother called Alberto, which killed Berto. In the end, Berto leaves the castle, in a 'ghost' form.
Alberto, is just like his brother, except that Berto is older.
He doesn't use gloves.

Berto also appeared in the wiki's custom. In Super Mario 64 Bloopers: Double Kart, he is the referee. In The SM64 Bloopers videogame: SMG3's back, Berto is the host in the lobby for Multiplayer.
Berto made a cameo in Super Mario 128.
Lastly, in Glitchy's Adventure, he appears on the title screen (despite not appearing in the game itself).
For some reason, in the games, Berto does have gloves.
Oddly, despite appearing in every single SM64 game (barring Dectetive Mario, Super Smash Bloopers, SMG4: The RPG game and Super Mario 64 Bloopers: The Videogame), he never has a role in their Story Modes.
